Babushka
Written by Suzanne Pearson
Babushka – One Woman. 2 Lives. Multiple Layers. is a new autobiographical play exploring the long-term impact of childhood bullying.
You are warmly invited to a rehearsed reading of Babushka at The Old Library Studio Theatre, Corn Exchange Newbury, followed by an informal conversation about the work and the themes it raises.
This is a development reading, not a finished production. The evening is an opportunity to hear the script aloud, be part of the conversation, and help shape what Babushka becomes.
Who is invited?
This event is open to both the general public and people working with young people.
Members of the public are invited to attend, listen, respond and be part of Babushka’s first steps.
Teachers, SENCos, pastoral staff, safeguarding leads, school governors, drama teachers and others working with young people are especially welcome, as your professional insight will be valuable to the future development of the play and The Babushka Project.
